People enjoy holidays on hire-purchase more often

Pardubice 6. 9. 2007. The holiday months have again confirmed increased interest in the borrowings and loans through which people finance their holidays. For example in July the company Profireal has recorded a growth in the volume of provided loans and credits of nearly 30 % compared to the previous year, with the growth representing even 54 percent in August.

“We have been witnessing an increased interest in loans in the summer periods for several years already. It is a general trend, people want to enjoy a pleasant holiday and not to be stressed by a lack of money. Our clients also increasingly more often derive benefit from borrowings used to acquire various sports equipment,” Filip Souček, Executive Director of the company Profireal, a.s. confirms the interest in credits during the holiday period.

Much in the same way as e.g. in the pre-Christmas period, the interest in loans increases notably in the course of the summer months. For example in January Profireal provided 2,765 credits to its clients at a total nominal value of CZK 141 million, in August it was already 3,900 credits at a total volume of CZK 202 million. On the whole, Profireal has granted credits at a face value of CZK 1.3 billion over the first eight months of this year. Among the regions where people borrow most belong the Central Bohemia, the Pardubice and the Moravia-Silesia ones.

The borrowings and credits provided by the company Profireal are not purpose-bound, therefore the clients may use them to finance their summer activities or holidays. “The increased interest has also been contributed to by our new product – a loan with a maturity period of 12 months, which we have been marketing since June. For example with a loan worth CZK 20 thousand the client will pay back CZK 1,938 monthly, and he/she will pay only CZK 23,256 on the whole”, added Filip Souček

The division Profireal, which is a part of Profireal Group, operates in the area of granting loans and credits, both to the individual and corporate sectors. It has been expanding remarkably over the recent six years. After the opening of its branch in Slovakia in the year 2001, there followed a launch of loan-selling activities in Poland in the year 2004 and in Bulgaria at the end of the year 2006. Profireal plans to sell its first loans also in Romania by the end of this year.

Since 2004, Profireal has been a member of the association SOLUS that administrates a register of debtors, through which the members may verify the creditworthiness of their loan applicants. Profireal was initiated into the Czech Leasing and Financial Association in April 2007.
